About PMI Islamabad Pakistan Chapter

PMI Islamabad Pakistan Chapter (PMI IPC) is the founding chapter in the country with over 150 members and partners, holding key positions within their organizations. With PMI Islamabad influential network of people and resources, we provide you with quality PMI events, seminars and conferences scheduled throughout the entire year.

Our Mission

PMI IPC’s mission is to promote and augment Project Management values, principles, practices and capabilities in the corporate, business, academia and public sector by providing education, information and a platform for the benefit of its membership, the businesses in its geography and project management professionals.

Elections

Each year elections are held for vacant positions within the PMI Islamabad chapter members to choose the right candidate. Since these are volunteer positions, PMI Islamabad chapter members ensure that the elected professionals share the requisite passion for serving the PMI community at large.

The Election Process
  • The Election Committee is finalized by the Executive Council-PMI Islamabad Chapter
  • An election email ID is generated for reaching the members exclusively.
  • The contesting candidates are requested to fill the nomination form and email it to the election committee with subject titled: “Nomination for Elections –PMI Islamabad Chapter”.
  • Elections are conducted by paper ballot.
  • All Islamabad Chapter members participate in person at the Elections for making the event memorable and successful. To facilitate those members who are abroad or cannot attend the elections in person for some reason, they have an option to use their right of Proxy Voting (which means that an Islamabad Chapter member “A” who cannot attend him/herself can authorize another Islamabad Chapter member “B” to represent him/her at the elections), for which the following procedure is mandatory to be followed precisely:
    • Each individual Islamabad Chapter member opting for proxy voting has to intimate the election committee by email
    • Each individual Islamabad Chapter member opting for proxy voting has to send this email specifically from their primary email address that they have given to PMI website. Emails coming from other email addresses ARE NOT entertained
    • Each individual Islamabad Chapter member opting for proxy voting can authorize ONLY ONE Islamabad Chapter member in good standing (means this person’s membership with PMI and with the Islamabad Chapter has to be valid on the date of the elections

Please note that as only currently valid members of the chapter have the right to vote or run for a position, we request to please tell anyone you might be aware of whose membership might have expired or might be expiring on or before the election date, to keep their memberships valid and ensure that their email address with PMI is active and accessible to them. Please help us in creating awareness to this affect amongst the group
