The agile scrum workshop is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the agile project management with focus on Scrum and Kanban methodologies.

As a result, participants will not only acquire fundamental knowledge of agile practices to improve their project delivery, but will also be able to determine which certifications will best suit their career ambitions.

This workshop helps participants develop an agile mindset to apply to their real world projects.

Workshop Format:

  • 2 Days x 7.5 Hours of activity-based lecture sessions
  • 3 Hours Self-Assessment Exam
  • 3 Hours of application preparation and review (after the workshop)

Total workshop duration is 21 Hours, and therefore qualifies for 21 PDUs

Training Modes: The training sessions are held through the following modes:

  • Online Training (through zoom) – By default all open-enrollment trainings are conducted online
  • Physical Training – conducted for corporate clients on special request (cost may vary)

What is Pass Surety?

Pass Surety is a package specially designed for those participants who want to be absolutely sure to pass the exam in the minimum time, and with surety that they will not have to pay the fee again if they fail the exam.

Participants opting for this package receive the following benefits, in addition to the regular training:

  • A proprietary question bank of 1000+ questions, covering all exam topics, and providing detailed explanation for each answer. The question bank provides adequate exam practice and preparation.
  • Individual Pre-tests: An exam consisting of 120 questions, to be completed in 3 Hours, simulating the actual certification exam. Test-takers must score 80% to be considered as ‘Ready for the Actual Exam’. If a test-taker fails to achieve 80% score in pre-test, they will need to take it again till they achieve the required score (80%).
  • After scoring 80% in pre-test, the test-taker will take the actual certification exam.
  • In case a test-taker cleared the pre-test but still failed the actual exam, will be eligible for a free-retake of the exam (i.e. the Chapter will pay for the re-take exam, not the participant).
  • Note: Test-taker will again need to pass the pre-test before the retake exam.

Pass Surety package is valid for 1 year i.e. a exam-taker must take the actual exam and the re-attempt (in case it is required) within a time period of 1 year.

Question: Is this Agile Scrum Workshop specifically for PMI-ACP exam preparation? 

Answer: This is a broader workshop and not restricted to PMI-ACP exam preparation. The workshop includes various agile topics i.e. agile values, mindset, and methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. It also provides guidance on which agile certifications may be best for each participant. Participants may also use this workshop to apply for PMI-ACP exam.

Question: What are the steps to getting PMI-ACP certified?

Answer:

  1. Get the mandatory training
  2. Fulfill the experience requirements
  3. Submit application
  4. Pass the exam

Question: How many questions are included in the PMI-ACP exam?

Answer: The PMI-ACP examination consists of 120 multiple-choice questions, to be completed in 3 Hours

Question: Where is the PMI-ACP Exam conducted? 

Answer: The exam is conducted at Pearson Exam Center, or virtually at your own location (online proctored exam). Once your application is approved, you will receive a notification containing the link for choosing the exam center location and the desired date, or through proctored exam at your own location.

Question: What are the pre-requisites?

Answer: We break it down for you in three simple steps

  1. Educational Requirements: 16 years of education (equivalent to bachelors degree)
  2. Experience: 1 years (12 months) of general project experience (being a part of a project team, working on a project), and 8 months of agile project experience
  3. Agile Training: 21 hours of instructor-led training. The Agile Scrum Workshop may be used to fulfill this requirement

Question: Is there an option for classroom based / on-campus session?

Answer: All sessions are conducted virtually i.e. through zoom, and not on-campus.

Question: What is the exam cost?

Answer: PMI is currently offering 30% special discounted price for Pakistan. For candidates from Pakistan, the PMI-ACP exam costs USD 347 (non-members) and USD 305 (members).

Note that the regular PMI-ACP exam costs USD 495 (non-members) and USD 435 (members). Fees are subject to change by PMI USA, and you may visit this link to check the latest fees.

Question: If I cannot attend the Training, after depositing the fee, do I get a refund?

Answer: Yes, in case you have paid for the project management workshop and are unable to attend the training, your fee will be reimbursed without deduction as long as you have requested for the refund at least 7 days before the start of training. Within the last 7 days (before start of training), you may get a refund after 30% deduction. You may also change your batch to another batch without any deduction.

Answer: PMI’s certifications are industry-agnostic – means that they are generic certifications, and not specific to any industry. You can benefit from this workshop while working in any industry – because the principles of PMI’s framework can be applied to any industry, and any geography.

Question: What study material will I receive as part of this training? 

Answer: All the study material will be provided during the training. This includes the slide deck and other study-aids. You will also receive practice questions.
