Zhongxing Telecom Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd., a subsidiary of ZTE Corporation, China, engaged PMI Islamabad Pakistan Chapter to undertake an independent assessment of its project management processes. Purpose of this assessment was to evaluate ZTE Pakistan’s project management process maturity and benchmarking against global project management practices.

The thorough assessment established ZTE Pakistan’s process maturity and adherence with global practices. A ceremony was held on 20th July 2022 at ZTE Pakistan’s Head Office in Islamabad for award of certificate. With this, ZTE Pakistan has become the first in Pakistan’s telecom sector to be awarded the project management maturity certificate.

Mr. Tashfeen Riaz, PMI Islamabad Pakistan Chapter handed over the certificate to ZTE CEO (Mr. Li Guowen). Also present at the ceremony was ZTE’s Chief Technology Officer (Mr. Deng Lihua), E&S Section Chief (Mr.Wang Jianhua), VP E&S Delivery (Mr. Waqar Siddique), Project Directors (Mr. Farooq Ali & Mr. Sharjeel Ahmad) and Mr. Waseem Irshad, VP Strategy, PMI Islamabad Pakistan Chapter.

Mr. Tashfeen Riaz appreciated ZTE Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing organizational process efficiency, and mentioned that this will significantly enhance ZTE’s overall project delivery and help the organization become more agile and competitive. ZTE’s CEO reiterated the organizational commitment to continuous improvement to better serve its customers.
